| Over the
years Syro-Malabar Convention
has become a great event in the
history of Delhi Syro-Malabar
Mission. Beginning from 1998,
it has been the biggest annual
event of the Syro-Malabar
faithful in Delhi.
The Convention is preceded
by a Santhome Fest (Kalotsavam),
in which variety of
competitions for different age
groups take place. People from
all the mass centres
enthusiastically participate
in the competitions after
months-long preparation. The
awards are distributed to the
winners on Convention day.
On the day of Convention,
there is a concelebrated
solemn Holy Qurbana in which
thousands of people from all
the centres take part. The
chief orator gives a talk on
the theme of the Convention
followed by cultural
programmes. There is a common
meal after the programme for
all the participants.
