The Mass Centre started
functioning from Mahima Church
in the year 1995. Janakpuri
Syro-Malabar Community at
present belongs to the Infant
Jesus Parish, one of the
Personal Parishes of Syro-Malabar
Community in the Archdioceses
of Delhi. The parish was
formally erected on July 1,
2003. This personal parish
comprises of the Mass Centers
at Palam, Dwarka and Janakpuri.
Holy Mass is conducted at St.
Francis Church, Janakpuri at
4.30 p.m. on all Sundays.
Sunday Catechism Classes are
functional at this mass
centre. Monthly prayer
meetings are organized in all
the family units without fail.
On 1 August 2007, St. Thomas
Syro-Malabar Personal Parish,
Sagarpur was erected,
separating from Infant Jesus
Personal Parish, Palam and Fr.
Tom Mullenchira was appointed
as its first parish priest.
The parish has secured a land
and built a church of its own
at

AMALOLBHAWA MATHA (MARY
IMMACULATE) MASS CENTER –
MAHIPALPUR (MCPP)
This mass
center comes under St.
Thomas Syro – Malabar
Catholic Church – Sagarpur.
Mass center was started by
Fr. Tom Mullenchira on 14th
December 2008. This center
was inaugurated by Rev. Fr.
Jose Edasserry, the
Coordinator of
Delhi
Syro –
Malabar Mission with the
approval of Episcopal Vicar
of Delhi Archdiocese. Mass
is being offered in a rented
basement at Mahipalpur every
Sunday at 7. 30 am and on
public holidays at 7.30 am.
After the Mass children go
to Sagarpur Church for
Catechism. The zeal and
aspiration of the faithful
who are residing in
Mahipalpur area give thrust
to start this Mass center.
The Syro Malabar faithful
from Mahipalpur used to go
for the Syro – Malabar mass
at St. Paul’s Church, Delhi
Cantt. Once it stopped they
were in dilemma where to go
for the Mass. Around one
year they were going to many
places for mass and they
were scattered. Once the
mass center was started,
they all gathered together
as one community and that
community is flourishing day
by day.
