CHAPTER: 1 - FAITH
-
What is faith?
Faith is a personal
commitment of man to God and
a free assent to the whole
truth that God has revealed.
-
What do you say about the
faith of a Christian?
For a Christian, believing
in God cannot be separated
from believing in the one
whom He has sent, viz. Jesus
Christ. One cannot believe
in Jesus Christ without
sharing in His Spirit. It is
the Holy Spirit who reveals
to men who Jesus is. So
faith in Father, Son and
Holy Spirit is indispensable
in Christian faith.

nothing’.

One.

What do we understand by
purgatory?
All who die in God’s grace
and friendship, but still
imperfectly purified, are
indeed assured of their
eternal salvation, but after
death, they undergo
purification, so as to
achieve the holiness
necessary to enter the joy
of heaven. This is called
the purgatory.
-
What do you mean by hell?
To die in mortal sin without
repenting and accepting
God’s merciful love means
