CHAPTER: 3
THE JOINT MISSION OF THE SON AND THE SPIRIT
-
Can we separate the
Father, Son and the Holy
Spirit?
No. The one whom the Father
has sent into our hearts, the
Spirit of his Son, is truly
God. (Gal; 4:6) One with the
Father and the Son, the Spirit
is inseparable from them, in
both the inner life of the
Trinity and his gift of love
for world.
-
How are the Son and the
spirit united in their
mission?
In their joint mission, the
Son and the Holy Spirit are
distinct but can not be
separated. To be sure, it is
Christ who is seen, the
visible image of the invisible
god, but it is the spirit who
reveals him.
-
What is the mission of
the Holy Spirit?
The Spirit reveals Jesus
Christ the “anointed. He
communicates to us the glory
of Christ and the Father. He
unites everyone in the
mystical body of Christ.
